There are plenty of transportation options at the Vallarta Maritime Terminal. Taxis are the most easily accessible means of transportation in Puerto Vallarta. Countless cabs line the departure points of the cruise ships, waiting for passengers arriving in Puerto Vallarta. The most cost-efficient choice would definitely be the bus, which can be caught on Avenue Francisco Medina Ascencio, the main thoroughfare from Nuevo Vallarta to Puerto Vallarta. If you have an independent streak, rental cars are easy enough to rent, but make sure you are properly insured in Mexico.
